Begin with overall length and the diameter of the open canopy. Then compare weight and handle shape, especially if the umbrella will be carried regularly. Reflective material is a separate feature, as are the Standard and City-Safe designations.

Everyday care
After rain, leave the umbrella open to dry in a ventilated place. Before folding it, inspect the canopy, ribs and tips for damage. Clean the handle and fabric with methods suited to their materials. Do not place loads on an open umbrella or modify its construction.
