Windlass Steelcrafts grew from an Indian business formally registered in 1943, whose early work included kukris for Gurkha regiments. Its portfolio later expanded into military and historical swords, armour, shields and props made for screen productions.
Windlass Steelcrafts in our range
The store profile includes European and ancient swords, sabers, rapiers, daggers, historical knives, kukris and machetes. Selected armour components, shields, Japanese weapons and movie-related collector replicas are represented as well.
Assessing a historical replica
- Compare the stated period and weapon type with the construction described for the model.
- Review overall length, weight, balance point, blade material and hilt assembly.
- Confirm whether the item is described for display, collecting, training or another defined purpose.
A historical form does not determine practical performance, so always use the complete specification of the individual item.
