LARP foam weapons and accessories
LARP equipment needs to fit the setting while also meeting the rules of a particular event. This category contains two latex swords by Windlass Steelcrafts: the Valiant Sword and a design inspired by an Uruk Hai sword. The first is 96.5 cm long and weighs 340 g, while the second measures 78.7 cm and weighs 227 g. That difference matters when carrying the prop with a costume or moving through a scene in a limited space.
What to check before choosing
Begin with the organiser's rules. Events may set different limits for dimensions, construction and contact during play. Next, compare the length and weight with the player's height, costume and character. Read the full material description, examine the handle shape and consider whether the intended carrying method will interfere with the rest of the outfit.
Before every event, inspect the latex surface, tip, handle and complete structure. A crack, loose layer or exposed hard component means the prop needs assessment and repair before it is used again. After play, remove dirt with a method suitable for latex and let the sword dry fully.
Store the prop without bending, crushing or leaving pressure on one section for a long time. Keep it away from radiators and hot cars. Careful storage helps the sword retain the shape and appearance expected for the next game.
