Fantasy swords
Fantasy swords do not follow one historical pattern. Their form comes from an artistic design, fictional world or decorative motif. The same group contains full-size swords, a shorter dagger and pieces inspired by film or anime. Differences in length, weight and construction are therefore substantial.
Examples include Kit Rae Sedethul Sword and Mithrodin Dark Edition, Master Cutlery Skull Gauntlet, the Sasuke Uchiha Naruto sword and Argo Sword from Jason and the Argonauts. Overall lengths run from 43 to 115 cm, with listed weights from about 0.55 to 2.05 kg. Each value belongs to a specific design.
Design and actual dimensions
Start with the full name and stated purpose of the product. Then compare length, weight, blade material and display method. A photograph can hide the scale of an elaborate guard or handle, so plan space for the complete piece rather than the blade alone.

Safe display
Elaborate decorative parts can be vulnerable to scratches or knocks. Use a stable stand that supports the piece at suitable points. Protect metal from moisture and remove dust without aggressive polishing. Keep the box and dedicated display components with the sword.
