Other knives

This group focuses on compact knives and daggers with a more specialised form than ordinary everyday designs. Visible examples include the Delta Dart, Jungle Dart, push blade, boot blade, karambit and Skull Gauntlet. Some constructions use steel, others synthetic material, so the first practical step is to check the actual material and real size rather than judging the item by its name or photograph alone.

The data includes overall lengths around 20.6 and 20.7 cm, blade lengths of 8.25 or 9.5 cm, and thickness values of 6.5 or 7.5 mm. There are also versions with and without a sheath. Most of the visible models come from the Cold Steel Nightshade FGX line, with a few Master Cutlery pieces as well. That is enough to show that even at a smaller scale, differences in construction and storage still matter.

What to check before choosing

The most useful points are overall length, thickness, material and whether the model has its own sheath or cover. Small knives are easy to put away carelessly, and that is usually when rubbed finishes or general clutter start to appear.

After unpacking, it helps to assign each piece a fixed place straight away. If a model has a sheath, keep it together with that sheath. If it does not, a separate case or closed compartment makes much more sense than searching later for a small item mixed in with other gear.
