This saber features an ornate sharp blade crafted from 1095 high carbon steel, complemented by authentic handle and sheath materials, a leather-wrapped grip, and a blued steel scabbard.
Expertly hand-forged and fully tempered, this handmade replica uses 1095 high carbon steel to deliver the same performance as the original. The saber boasts a flexible, decorative blade and a leather grip wrapped with brass wire, faithfully replicating the sword once carried by General Jo Shelby, the renowned Missouri cavalry raider who never surrendered his command. The hand-forged blade is crisply acid-etched with "C.S.A.," while "C.S." is intricately cast into the guard for added authenticity. For reference, see Albaugh: Confederate Edged Weapons, page 122.
The scabbard is made of blued steel and finished with brass throats, mounts, rings, and drag, resulting in a beautifully detailed and historically accurate piece.
